Critical care units are the most expensive sites in the U.S. healthcare system, accounting for 30% to 40% of an acute care hospital's total budget. Factors such as the growing acuity of hospital inpatients, the aging of the U.S. population, and shortened hospital lengths-of stay have created a U.S. market for critical care patient monitoring products that was valued at nearly $1.2 billion in 2002. Growing at a compound annual rate of 8.9%, sales of these products are expected to reach an estimated $2.8 billion in the year 2017.
Heart valve repair or replacement surgery is a surgical Procedure for Coronary heart disease. When heart valves is damaged or infected, they will not function properly, it results in cardiac failure. Cardiovascular Transplantation is surgical method to remove a disordered heart and replace it with a new healthy heart. Coronary Artery Diseases (Coronary artery bypass) is the technique of restoring the flow of blood to the heart. This invasive surgical procedure reforms the valve without removing the old, disordered valve. Rather, it tapers a replacement valve into the aortic valve’s place, called a Trans-aortic valve replacement. This session contains Nursing workshops of Heart Valve Repair Replacement, Cardiovascular Transplantation , Thoracic Aortic Repair, Trans-aortic valve replacement, Disorders of Heart Valves,Coronary Artery Revascularization, Surgical Repair of Congenital Cardiac Anomalies.

Track 8: Cardiac rehabilitation
An estimated 80 million (nearly one in three) Americans have cardiovascular disease, which is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In the United States alone, more than 850,000 deaths are attributed annually to cardiovascular disease, and more than 8 million Americans have had a heart attack. Nearly 7 million cardiovascular procedures are performed annually in U.S. hospitals. Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive program of patient evaluation, risk factor reduction physical activity, and longitudinal care designed to reduce the effects of cardiovascular disease, and is an effective means of mitigating disease and disability. Family physicians incorporate many of the fundamental principles of comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation into their daily practices. However, the use of dedicated cardiac rehabilitation programs serves to further reinforce the principles of nutrition, physical activity, risk factor reduction, and wellness. Cardiac rehabilitation services are underused in the United States, even though there is evidence that structured programs improve quality of life and reduce mortality for patients with coronary artery disease and other select forms of cardiovascular disease.
Functional assessment alter by traditional diagnosis because in that skills are evaluated rather than microbial symptoms or Characteristics. Psychosocial interventions has awoke in cardiac rehabilitation programmes and are Promoted by the National Service Framework for Heart Diseases and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. Track 9: Cardiovascular Nursing Epidemiology
Globally, there is an uneven distribution of age-adjusted CVD mortality. The lowest age-adjusted mortality rates are in the advanced industrialized countries and parts of Latin America, whereas the highest rates today are found in Eastern Europe and a number of low and middle income countries. For example, age-standardized mortality rates for CVD are in excess of 500 per 100,000 in Russia and Egypt; between 400 and 450 for South Africa, India and Saudi Arabia; and around 300 for Brazil and China.
Epidemiology of Cardiology Disorders estimated 17.5 approximately million people died from CVDs in 2008. Over 80% of CVD deaths take place in developing countries. By 2030 more than 23 million people will die annually from Cardiovascular Disorders. By stopping Smoking and Alcohol taking ,controlling overweight, maintaining diet,by performing Physical exercises,it can be reduced. Having prediabetes can increase the risk for cardiac disease and stroke. Obesity is an increasingly prevalent metabolic disease affecting not only the developed population but also that of the developing world. Track 10: Diagnosis tests & Procedures in cardiology
Cardiac marker diagnostic testing measures the concentration of certain proteins, i.e., biomarkers, which indicate the presence or severity of cardiovascular disease .Among the most prevalent CVDs are sudden cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction congestive heart failure and atherosclerosis. Every year, an estimated 17 million people worldwide die from a CVD. This study also provides a thorough analysis of the companies known to be marketing, manufacturing or developing cardiac marker products in the U.S. and worldwide, as well as detailed tables, charts and figures covering the U.S., Europe and Asia markets. Cardiac biomarkers evaluate the heart function and aid in identifying the complexity and severity of procedures further required to treat the cardiovascular disease. The primary indications for cardiovascular diseases are Acute Coronary Syndrome which includes Angina Pectoris and Acute Myocardial Infraction Congestive Heart Failure, Peripheral Artery Disease and others.
Echocardiogram, indicate as a cardiac echo, sonogram of the heart. Echocardiography customizes standard two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and Doppler ultrasound to create images of the heart. Auscultation is a skill that needs clinical experience, a noval stethoscope and excellent listening skills. Sphygmomanometer is a device used to measure and analyse the blood pressure,Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging is a medical imaging procedure for the non-invasive analysis of the function and structure of the cardiovascular system. A Cardiac catheterization is an invasive procedure to access the coronary circulation and blood filled chambers of the heart using a catheter.
